Christel Kendzia is from Bath, Maine. She is a graduate from Morse High School (2002). Christel attended the University of Maine, Orono from 2002 to 2006. At UMaine, she studied the Clarinet and was a major in the Music Education program with an Instrumental concentration. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education.
Prior to graduation, Christel did her student teaching with the
MSAD #75 school system.
Christel is currently the music teacher at Deer Isle-Stonington Elementary School, where she teaches K-5 Grade General Music, 4-5 Grade Beginning Band, 6-8 Grade Band, and 6-8 Grade Chorus. She also teaches at Deer Isle-Stonington High School where she teaches 9-12 Grade Band.
Christel is a member of the Maine Music Educators Association, Music Educators National Conference, and is an alumni of Kappa Kappa Psi, National Honorary Band Fraternity.
